Understand an article
See the important claims, their visible sources, and the gaps in their support.
Article AnalyzerFirst launched September 2025
When we launched Veritas Shield in September 2025, we had not seen another product doing what we set out to do: connect an article’s claims, its evidence, an explainable reporting score, and the original passages in one place. That was the idea we began building around.
EIEa, the Evidence Intelligence Engine for article, applies fixed scoring rules to the reporting evidence it can extract. Reader brings you back to the words. Evidence Atlas lets you explore the relationships. You can inspect the reasoning and decide what needs further investigation.
EIEv, the Evidence Intelligence Engine for video, keeps captured speech and on-screen text tied to their moments. Inspect the transcript, source trails and outside-evidence checks together, with extraction limits visible. Its assessments answer different questions from the article reporting score.
Follow the reporting grade to visible evidence and published methods. The same scoring rules apply across publishers.
Keep numbers, speakers, dates and qualifications in view. Open an article passage or a video transcript in Reader, then explore its connections in Atlas.
Investigate an exact claim, capture outside sources and preserve your review. Insufficient evidence remains an unanswered question.
Know what the answer means
A well-sourced claim can still be wrong. An important event can be poorly reported. Veritas keeps those questions visible.
Compare the work you can do

Based on the linked public product descriptions, checked September 6, 2026. This compares workflows, not measured accuracy. Features may change, and a capability omitted here should not be read as unavailable. NewsGuard’s entry covers Website Ratings; Clearview’s covers the political-bias browser extension.

Social PostStill building
We continue improving how Veritas Shield captures articles and videos, connects evidence and supports research across news, PDFs and social posts. We publish changes and explain the method’s limits. AI assists with captured context and research; it does not choose the scoring rules. Video analysis includes AI assistance. Its interpretations remain reviewable, and no reporting or video score certifies that every claim is true.
